Reception
Reception – We expect children to read with an adult at home at least three-four times a week and record their regular reading in their Reading Record book. Even if these are short, ten minute sessions, it will make a big difference. Children will also start to have small handwriting activities to practise their letter formation at home.
Reception Challenge Homework
Activities are set each term and are based on the topics that we will cover across the curriculum. The expectation is for each child to complete and bring in at least one of these activities by Wednesday 18th December. Extra points will be awarded for effort and presentation. Please note Reception pupils are invited to participate in the challenge if they wish to do so but it is not compulsory.

Reading
Y1&Y2 – Please ensure that you listen to your child read regularly (at least 3 times per week) and don’t forget to sign their reading record, so your child can get their all important sticker! Rewards are given for the following…. 25 stickers = a certificate, 50 stickers = a pencil, 75 stickers = a badge and a full bookmark earns a book. Awards are given out during our Celebration assemblies on Thursdays.
